What plane is flying over me?
Heard a plane and looked up? This map shows every aircraft flying near you right now, updated every few seconds from live ADS-B data, the same radio signals planes broadcast to air traffic control.
Tap any plane to see its flight number, airline, where it took off, where it is heading, how high it is flying and what kind of aircraft it is. No app, no account, no ads.
How it works
Most planes carry a transponder that broadcasts their position, altitude and speed. Volunteers around the world receive those signals and share them openly. We place each plane on the map and smoothly move it along its route between updates.
Why can’t I see a plane I can hear?
Some aircraft, like small private planes or military flights, don’t broadcast their position, and coverage can be thin in remote areas. Try again in a minute.
Is my location stored?
No. Your location is only used in your browser to centre the map and ask for planes nearby. We never save it.
How far does the map reach?
About 80 km around the centre of the map. Drag the map or search a city to look somewhere else.
Catch the planes you see
JetDex is our upcoming app: point your phone at a plane in the sky and it tells you exactly which flight it is. Collect planes on your 3D globe and race your friends.
